Entry Details
Step 1
Please read the Terms and Conditions of the AFTAs and ensure your application is eligible.
Step 2
Determine the Category you would like to enter. Please click here to view the categories and criteria.
Step 3
Complete the online entry form including acceptance of the Terms and Conditions of entry.
Once an entry has been submitted an automatic email acknowledgement will be sent which includes basic details of the entry along with a consent form to be completed.
Please ensure that you fill out every relevant section of the entry form. If you do not, your entry will be deemed incomplete and cannot be processed.
Once all entries have been submitted online press the Confirm Entries button to view a full list of entries submitted.
Download the invoice that is generated on screen, and advise the correct payment method.

All online entries should be completed no later than 5pm on Wednesday 10 August.
Step 4
Collate the required DVDs and submit to the address below no later than 5pm on Friday 12 August.

Step 5
Print and sign a copy of the Consent Form attached to your entry acknowledgement email. Please note that for all categories the producer must sign the form.
The Consent Form assigns the right to the organisers of the Aotearoa Film & Television Awards to use excerpts from the submitted entry for the broadcasting of the Awards ceremony as well as permission to reproduce stills and clips for the Awards' media coverage.
Step 6
Forward the following no later than 5.00pm on Friday 12 August:
- 1 copy of the Consent Form signed by the producer
- Required number of copies of your entry on DVD. Click here to review requirements for each genre
- If you are entering Best Script, also send 5 copies of the complete script
